Flowers in Spring

An evergreen tree, from 1m up to 8m tall, stunted and very branching, with a smell of resin (mastic) and deep green, leathery, slender oval leaves.  Tiny greenish or reddish flowers produce green fruits that turn black when ripe. The fruit, although not commonly consumed, is edible and has a tart raisin-like flavour.
