The Green Heart of Haría is a wildlife sanctuary and ecological project created by British scientist David Riebold (BA, MSc, MEd). This website was written by David and his late wife Birgit.
However the website was updated in 2025 by artist-researcher Clare Carter Osborne as part of a research project supported by WRoCAH (funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council UK). In addition to updating the existing website, Clare Carter Osborne dedicated 4 months to mapping the garden, photographing, documenting and researching all the existing species present within the grounds, with the aim to create a digital repository of information about the endemic and native species in Lanzarote which are protected within The Green Heart of Haría.
The digital map of the garden and the website was designed by Clare Carter Osborne with technical support from David Henderson.
