Grows up to 2 metres high. Longer, slender leaves and pronounced flowers than T. Dulce. Fruit is raised off the apex. 

Latex is toxic to skin, but was traditionally used to trap fish in tidal pools and the wood used to create splints for the broken limbs of animals.
